Each and every university will have a different set of entry requirements and will in some way differ in how you actually get a place on their courses.

In the majority of cases you will apply through an organisation called UCAS (The University and Colleges Admissions Service). Its site will give you information about almost every university course in the country including what you will need to get in.
Every application is treated individually and everybody's circumstances will be different, it's best to remember that, whatever you want to do, you will need to make a good application as well as get the right qualifications.
